Did Isabelle really think all I wanted was her body?
I tried to push her away, but she tightened her grip, clinging to me with all her strength.
Panic started to set in.
This was Harriet's office. Someone could walk in at any moment, and if they saw this, I'd never be able to explain it. Isabelle's reputation would be ruined, too.
Now wasn't the time to argue. I needed to calm her down and find a way to de-escalate the situation.
But before I could think of anything, I suddenly felt her hand slip into my pants.
I was shocked—horrified even—and in a moment of desperation, I shoved her away, harder than I meant to.
She stumbled and crashed into the desk, wincing in pain. Her face flushed, a red mark already forming on her cheek as she struggled to stand.
I froze.
I hadn't meant to push her that hard…
She looked up at me, biting her lip, a mix of hurt and frustration in her eyes. "Bryce, how could you be so cruel?"
