Jacob and Alexandra's husband, Jerome Murphy, returned home from work at around 5:00 pm. They, too, noticed that something smelled burnt and foul.
Jerome covered his nose and cleared his throat, joking, "Did you hire a new housekeeper, Jacob?"
That caused Jacob to frown at Sean.
However, Sean didn't do anything but stand and greet the men. "Dad. Uncle Jerome."
"You're back." Moira walked over from her room. Then, she called out to Martha, who was in the kitchen. "Martha, you may serve dinner now."
Martha soon responded from the kitchen, "Understood! Please have a seat, Mrs. Horton Senior. I'll serve the dishes at once."
"Jacob and Sean claim that Wendy, the Stowell family's eldest daughter, is a good cook. Her cooking skills are equal to that of a chef from a state-owned restaurant. Since it's my birthday, let's all try out her cooking!" Moira sat at the head of the table while speaking indifferently.
