On the other end of the call, Jacob heaved a long sigh of relief and relaxed against the chair. "I knew I was right about Wendy. She's a good kid. Why would she be a housekeeper if she can't cook?
"Indeed, we cannot take anybody's words at face value. Did Wendy's cooking actually satisfy the Sadlers?"
"Yeah. When I went to Mr. Sadler's place, he offered to let me stay for lunch. It was all Wendy's cooking, and her smoked pork belly tasted even better than professional chefs'," Sean stated honestly.
That remark alone was enough to prove that Wendy had always cooked and even loved doing it.
"Well, it looks like I gotta taste her cooking one day. Alright, then. I'll return home early later to save your grandma the worry. You know how the elders are." Jacob chuckled.
