"Mom, Wendy isn't as you think. She simply wanted to take up a part-time job to support her studies and improve herself." Jacob disagreed with Moira.
"She knew she couldn't cook, yet she let Martha recommend her for a housekeeper job. Isn't that so cunning of her?
"She understood that a family willing to hire a housekeeper would likely be well-off, so she planned to move in and get involved with their son, who's probably way out of her league.
"Using our family as leverage, she knew that family wouldn't be able to reject her."
Moira was astounded at how scheming Wendy was. She skipped breakfast, clutched her chest, and proceeded to her room.
"Easy, Mrs. Horton Senior." Xyla went up to her.
Watching the situation unfold, she regretted having exposed Wendy earlier. It would have a much greater impact when Wendy eventually caused trouble at Norman's place, giving the Hortons no reason to keep her.
