97 The Siege Heats Up
There was little time or room for squabbling soon after though as they came within sight of Provda the next day. And yet, there was no attack on them.
“Funny isn’t it?” Gavadiol said dryly to whoever cared to listen. “Konstantin died on a patrol with him scouting for imaginary enemies who never arrived.”
He did not care to think about the fact that Prima would have made her move eventually. And no one bothered to remind him either.
Sorrentino was standing over a rough map of Provda that he had drawn on the ground and frowning hard at it. Erom was standing beside him nodding.
“Impressive.” The young lad said. “This is truly Provda. Amazing that you should remember it after all these while.”
Sorrentino just laughed. “I didn’t spend six months doing nothing else but memorising every inch of this land just to forget it in a measly twenty-something odd year. No sir.”
Gavadiol walked up as well and looked at the capital city spread out in front of him. It looked impressive.
