92 Gavadiol Learns Some Magic
The fire that burned and danced merrily from the boxes was strange. It didn't emit the usual blue or red colour that was typical of fires. This fire was a a deep shade of black. None of the others had ever seen anything like that before. As if that was not enough, it emitted absolutely no smoke. The group waited until it had completely burned before mounting their horses and heading out immediately.
“We need to be extra careful now.” Konstantin mused. “Nordveka now knows he is completely exposed. He will bring everything and throw against us.”
“Let’s just focus on getting back to the camp in one piece.” The prince responded grimly.
“And let’s hope we meet the camp in one piece as well.” Terrilo added looking even more grim.
Gavadiol abandoned his plan of moving only at night as well. “We lose a good eighteen hours by sticking to that plan. It makes no sense.Time is of the essence.”
