72 The Temple Again
The next day at dawn, the four travellers trotted out of the camp ready to commence their journey. Erom and Lara were clearly still incredibly sleepy and were barely hanging on in their saddles.
A shadow moving just at the edge of the camp made them all start. But it was only Terrilo.
“Terrilo, what are you doing, lurking about?” Konstantin exclaimed in surprise. “You didn't sleep at all?”
“I just wanted to see you off.” She said arms folded. “Please stay safe. Especially you, Gavadiol. Don't go playing the hero and kill yourself off. Please.”
“Okay, I won't.” Gavadiol was touched. “I'll return alive. I promise you that, Terrilo.”
“Great,” she said and turned to go.
“Very smooth Terrilo,” Konstantin quipped mischievously. “So it's only Gavadiol you care about. What about the rest of us eh?”
Terrilo turned back just long enough to make a face at him before plunging into the forest.
They all chuckled before finally spurring their horses on.
“Be on the lookout,” Gavadiol advi
