250 Geldon’s Visit
The man got up and bowed to him when the knight walked into the place. Erom was very much embarrassed.
“What are you doing though?” He asked. “Why are you bowing to me, you old man.”
“Even if you have forgotten who you are,” the man said solemnly. “I will not. I was here when we started this journey. When Lucas Corrad initially summoned Lady Lara to the palace. You have sacrificed yourself to save my beloved nation from the deathly clutches of charlatans. And I will not forget that.”
“But it wasn't only me.” Erom protested.
The man carried on like he had not said anything. “Also, the king knighted you and made you second in command. Sometimes I think you forget that, Sir Erom. Me, I don't.”
The man was out to praise him today so Erom no longer protested. He could do as he wished.
