Julian's hands trembled as he nervously explained, "Ms. Holmes, our brain controls the body through neurons and neural pathways. If someone's consciousness—their very mind—loses the will to live, their body begins to receive negative signals, making recovery even harder."
He paused before offering a suggestion. "In my opinion, while he's on the IV drip, you should try talking to him. It might help spark his will to live."
Sophia froze. Joshua's words from that day rang loud in her mind.
"Sophia, don't you hate me for causing Edson's death? Well, then, I'll give my life to repay his!"
