A scoff echoed in the darkness, followed by a familiar, mocking voice. "You didn't actually think you were dead, did you?"
As the familiar voice of the woman faded, a sudden gust of wind swept through the room. The chill sank deep into my bones, making me shiver involuntarily. A dull ache began to spread through my abdomen.
