Chapter 133
After snapping out of my daze, I quickly walked to the bedroom door, trying to block Sophia from entering. I didn't want to take the blame for something I hadn't done.
After the car accident involving Jayden, I didn't want to get into another conflict with Sophia. I feared she might do something reckless again.
But now, I didn't know what to do, so I could only temporarily brace myself against the door to prevent her from coming in.
Sophia tried to push the door open, but it didn't budge. Frustrated, she raised her foot and kicked it hard. The door cracked open slightly before slamming shut again.
"Joshua, get out of the way!" she yelled.
"Sophia, I don't want to take the blame anymore. If you're so sure, then play the surveillance footage in front of me. If I'm wrong, I'll apologize to Edison!"
I pushed with all my strength against the door, trying to make her check the footage.
