Alexia's eyes were bloodshot, and her entire body trembled with rage. "Does toying with people like they're puppets give you a sense of achievement? Do you find it entertaining?"
Calvin frowned in confusion. "What?"
"One minute, you're preaching about how the company will treat every contestant fairly and impartially. But behind the scenes, the winner had already been decided. And then you went through the motions with this whole charade of a competition. Don't you find that disgusting?"
"Stop making excuses for your failure. If you can't handle losing, then you shouldn't have entered in the first place. The opportunity was given to you—it's your own incompetence that's to blame. Don't forget how you begged me for that spot in the competition," Calvin retorted.
Calvin narrowed his eyes, his expression darkening. She had pleaded with him to get the competition entry. Now that she had lost, she had the audacity to shift the blame. The sheer hypocrisy irritated him to no end.
