Chapter 16 The Cemetery
Miao Xiaobei's taxi stopped outside a florist.
She asked the driver to wait while she went in to buy two bouquets of flowers.
She returned to the taxi with bouquets of sunflowers and white chrysanthemums.
Half an hour later, the taxi arrived at the cemetery.
She passed the driver a hundred yuan and told him to keep the change. Hugging the flowers close to her body, she got out of the car and turned to hike up the hill.
"Miss, this place is quite remote, watch out for yourself."
An older man in his fifties, the driver was reminded of his own daughter as he looked at her.
He continued to kindly remind her that someone had been killed there in the past. It was rather dangerous.
Miao Xiaobei turned back and nodded with a smile. "Thank you."
