Ameerah's POV I stopped playing the flute on the balcony where I could see snow falling from the sky as if foretelling rain because of the darkness. I turned to Valdus who was looking at me seriously. My stare switches to the woman beside him staring at me with jealousy in her eyes. When I laughed, I averted my eyes from them and continued playing the flute. What is it for? Why else would he come here with Alderie? Is he planning to hurt me and make me look like I have no right as his queen? My chest tightened but I restrained myself from crying. Even my playing was affected because I made a mistake blowing. "Ameerah—" "What are you doing here? Do you need anything?" I asked coldly I can't even look at him. My mind was flying somewhere. Somewhere in my palace. If only Mama was here. He would never let Valdus treat me like this. She raised to be strong, fierce and strong-willed. No promises must be broken. All rules must be followed. Fight for what's right even if you'll be going to deal with thousands of wrong people. Fight for what's right even if they were much more bigger than you. Much more powerful than you. Stop disrespecting me infront of myself! If Alderie is what you want! Why don't you just have her. snatch back from Ephraim and leave me alone! " I shouted full of resentment I got up from my seat and quickly wiped away the tears that had fallen from my eyes. I was about to pass him when he grabbed my arm. "I'm not planning to surrender you Ameerah. I'm not planning to change my Queen. I don't know how to handle a woman to be honest and I'm begging for your forgiveness. Sorry for being insensitive. I should 've ask you, " My lips parted as I looked at him. His eyes were dark just means that he was sad and sincere. I can see right through him. He grabbed my other arm then I moved closer to him. His eyes were searching my face as if he was mesmerized by it. "I don't want to make the same mistake anymore Ameerah. You are my Queen. You are my woman. No way I will let Ephraim steal you away from me. I will never let him," He rubbed my cheeks with the his fingers. I close my eyes as I feel his fingers on my skin giving a strange heat to my body. "Wherever you go Ameerah. I will take you back," I opened my eyes and looked at him. His eyes were warm and ... Did I just saw a light gray in his eyes? "What's wrong?" He asked I blinked several times before shaking my head. I let him hug me and kiss my head. "Is it okay for me to ask?" I asked "Go on," "What happened between you and Alderie? B-Why ... did you let him go?" I will ask That's really what I wanted to ask Ephraim earlier in case he spoke again so I forgot. I felt him sigh. "It's because she wants too. She was very mad and devastated but she had no choice. Because she's already married to King Ephraim," I nodded at his story. "He thought that Valdus would give him a little attention in case he went with Ephraim but to his disappointment. He did nothing. That sucks," I said with a grin. This was the problem. Because he can't be content with what he has. He was even more in trouble. "I didn't know she can be stupid like humans sometimes," I laughed jokingly She smiled at me, "She's a human, your majesty," I stopped walking and my eyes widened as I looked at him. What ?! Is that why he seems to have been hurt earlier because I'm probably also a human being. She must have felt insulted. "I won't be surprised majesty if one day you rule over her. You are the definition of true beauty. Perfect on the outside but brave and strong-willed inside," She laughed. I was just looking at him and waiting for his answer when someone moved in the distance. We stood together. Amber instantly blocked my way like she was protecting me from something. "W-Who is that ?! Let us see your face!" Amber shouted We were silent for a moment as we felt the surroundings. But after a few minutes. Only a white horse would appear on the grass. We released a sigh of relief. "I'll take this to the soldier. Wait for me here your highness," Amber said goodbye I nodded at him. He quickly grabbed the horse's leash and pulled it. I waited for her patiently. As I waited I wandered around until I came across an iron protruding and covered with snow. It looks like it was glued to the wall and just removed. Out of curiosity. I slowly pulled out that thick flat steel and removed the ice that wrapped it. I was stunned for a moment as I repeatedly read the letters written there. W-What is this? "Your majesty! What are you doing there?" I slowly stood up and looked in Amber's direction. She was lookin at me curiously. "You told me you don't want me to be clueless like a kid, right?" I have a serious question He nodded hesitantly. "W-What's wrong?" I lifted that iron and showed him what was written there. She gasped and her eyes widens. He was still slightly backward. "Care to explain me why did you fake your kingdom's name? Why called it Aldafor when it's supposed to be Kingdom of Alvanticus?" To be continued...
