Chapter 28 Straight to the Heart

"I don't want you to wait on me hand and foot. I just want you to stay by my side. We have to live well together, Emlyn, you promised me that you would give me a chance. I cannot live without you. I will go mad. I will wait for you. I will wait until you are willing to accept me. I have said it before that I will not marry anyone else but you." Emlyn hummed in agreement, her voice all choked up. The person she had let down the most was Sean. The next day was bright and sunny. Emlyn crawled on the floor with Jenna. Jenna had been born with a congenital condition that caused underdevelopment. Even though her speech was pretty normal, she could not walk and was not too steady even when she stood up. Emlyn could only practice crawling with her. Jenna did not know that she was different from other children. She chuckled brightly as she crawled. Emlyn's phone rang. She did not even look at the caller ID and picked up the call. She asked softly, "Sean, are you on the way back? I'll ask th
