Chapter 20
I came out of the bathroom only to find Owen laying on the bed on his back with his feet crossed over and his hands behind his back. He looked up at me and I clutched the towel closer to my body, praying that it wouldn't fall.
"Um...Thank you for," I cleared my throat, "for saving me from drowning." It felt weird, especially given the fact that I was only dressed in a towel.
He only nodded in response while I just stood there waiting for him to go out of the room -- but he didn't. I cleared my throat again thinking he'd actually get what my throat clearing meant.
"Do you need some water?" He asked eyes laced with amusement. He knew exactly what I wanted but he didn't bother helping me out.
He got up from the bed and walked over to me and I held the towel tighter against my body. He was closer than before.
With my wet clothes in one hand and the towel closely held in the other, I walked out of his room with shoulders square. I felt his eyes follow me as if hoping that I would someh
