The next day, Iris reported for duty at the lounge area at Royal Palace on time as usual. Without Leigh, she had to return to her previous routine. This time, she was not that lucky. There was not even a chance of stumbling upon the odd job of letting men humiliate her for money. After a week of fruitless work, she decided there was no use waiting for something to fall into her lap. She woke up at the crack of dawn and decided to go out searching for some part-time jobs. The only issue was that it was going to be hard to find any jobs with the way she looked. Even landing a job as a dishwasher would be a challenge. A thought came to her—she could try her luck with investing her money. However, it was a risky venture. Upon consideration, she decided she would rather not gamble with the hard-earned money, all saved up to contribute toward the future of Rei’s parents. With this in mind, she promptly dismissed the idea and continued pacing around the bustling city.
