Chapter 11 Unwillingness
Sierra suddenly burst into laughter. "I'm not as fortunate as you. Gideon only asked you for a divorce to test you. He didn't expect you to sign the divorce papers without hesitation.
"He only asked me to help him aggravate you; I agreed because I wanted to test Terence. I didn't think that Terence didn't actually love me… not even in the slightest."
She looked at Terence, who lay unconscious on the floor. Her smile was sad and pitiful.
"I envy you for being loved by such an outstanding man, Andrea. Did you know that he bought your family's mansion and put it under your name? Most of his company's shares are in your name, too. Everything he's done is for your sake."
I was stunned into silence as I listened to her speak. I knew very well how horrible I'd been to Gideon during our marriage. I would never have believed that he loved me.
