CHAPTER 56: I DON'T LOVE YOU

The city was alive, and people walked around the streets happily; we were among those people.
Charles was beside me, his hands deep inside his pocket and a bright smile on his lips. He reminded me of Damian, and I quickly shoved the thought away. Charles was always calm and collected. Something I liked about him was that seeing him smile made me smile.
"So where are we heading to first?" he asked, turning to me.
"How about we have lunch?" I smiled back. " Crystal took me to this nice place recently, and they have nice food."
" All right, Lead the way," he gestured down the street, and we set off.
We got to a cafe with an outdoor setting, and Charles quickly chose a spot with an outdoor setting. "Damian would have let me choose by myself." I thought, realizing soon that I was thinking about him again.
They conversed easily, and thoughts of Damian were soon buried under laughter.
"Honestly, I wasn't expecting you to suggest something like this. I love it. Thanks," Charles l
