MARIE I sighed, glancing at Caleb, who looked up at me with innocent eyes. "Okay… I'll do it. But just for a few weeks, Taylor. I can't promise anything more." He nodded, a relief-filled expression crossing his face. "I'm grateful, Marie. It is very significant." I patted Caleb's forehead and said, "Okay, I'll get going now." I took my black purse on the table and walked out, bidding farewell to Taylor while he held Caleb tightly. ******** Charles was seated at his desk, staring at a heap of paperwork in front of him, when I found him. As I walked in, he looked up with a slight smile that disappeared as soon as he saw my expression. Concernedly, he asked, "Marie, what's wrong?" before pushing the papers aside and getting to his feet. "How could you?" I demanded, my voice trembling with fury. I crossed my arms over my chest, trying to keep myself from shaking. "How could you tell Taylor that you were my husband?" Charles's face fell, and I could see the hurt in his eyes as he step
