Chapter 134: Seeking Advice

Damian I sipped on the cup of coffee my assistant had handed to me when I got into the office that morning. I stomped on the keyboard, trying to focus on the heap of work I had in front of me. “You can do this; you can get her out of your head.” I recited to myself like words of affirmation. “Hey, get me another cup of coffee. With extra cream this time.” I paged the secretary. “Okay, sir, I will bring it in a few minutes. Should I just bring you lunch?” She asked; it was odd for me to take two cups of coffee. “No, just the coffee; I’d have lunch another time. I need the coffee now.” I replied calmly. “Okay, sir, I’ll send it right away.” In a few minutes, she came up with the cup of coffee and extra cream that I had requested. “Thank you very much.” I took a sip from the coffee and gave her a thumbs up. “I’m glad you like it.
