Vincent looked down, his voice trembling. "Uncle Perseus, can I… can I not go?" His fear was unmistakable.
"Why? Do you not have faith in your Uncle Perseus? Don't you trust me to protect you?" Perseus forced a smile, though his clenched fists told another story. His nails dug into his palms, but he felt nothing.
