A sardonic smile flickered across Perseus' grim face. "Are you that full of yourself?" Reconcile with her? Did she really think that she was the only woman on the planet? How could Perseus possibly get back together with a woman who had betrayed and hurt him? "What's that supposed to mean? Are you looking down on me?" Rochelle's expression turned grim, feeling deeply humiliated. What right did Perseus, a down-and-out loser who had just been released from jail, look down on her? When she was at the Calantha Hotel, she initially assumed that Perseus was well-connected to the Jagger family. However, upon further investigation, she discovered that Perseus was merely employed at an obscure company and commuted to work on a bicycle. What could he possibly amount to? "Why should I look up to you?" A grin spread across Perseus' face after he heard Rochelle's ridiculous remarks. Why should he look up to a promiscuous and immoral woman like her?
