Chapter 1890
After leaving the restaurant, Perseus contacted Camilla as soon as possible because he didn't want her to be worrying at home. While he was driving home, he received a call from Zeke.
"Hey, Zeke. It's late. What's the matter?" Perseus was curious and turned back to look at the barbecue restaurant subconsciously, wondering whether the restaurant owner had called the police.
"Perseus, are you busy?" Zeke's voice was low and full of exhaustion. He sounded as though he had just done strenuous exercises.
"I have nothing to be busy with on New Year's Day. I'm about to head home. What's up?" Perseus asked, puzzled.
"Let's have a drink together. I feel awful," Zeke's voice echoed through the phone again.
"Sure. Tell me the location, and I'm coming over right now," Perseus agreed without second thoughts.
"Let's meet in the restaurant where we met in the afternoon. It's close to the police station and convenient for me if I have to pull a last-minute night shift."
"Okay." Perseus hung up
