"What's the problem with me preparing breakfast?" Perseus asked.
While placing milk on the table, he added with a smile, "I have to do my part for the household since I'm part of it. Camilla and I are often not home because of our busy schedules, but food is ready when we get home, and you've kept the house squeaky clean. I don't even have to do my own laundry.
"It's almost New Year's. You and Chandler should catch a break and let us take care of you. We can't take advantage of you all the time."
Every word Perseus said was from the bottom of his heart. They weren't corny, but they were touching.
"Did you hear that, old geezer? Perseus is such a considerate man. There aren't many youngsters nowadays who'd help out with house chores or even get up early." Tears had already welled up in Karen's eyes.
"Listen to yourself. I've always thought of Perseus as a good man. Weren't you the one who was opposed to their relationship in the beginning? I've never picked a bone with him," Chand
