"Lindsay, are you sure nothing happened?"
Randolph clearly didn't believe her—how he looked at Gabriella was as if he was staring down an enemy. He knew his wife's true nature better than anyone else.
"It's really nothing, Randolph. No need to worry."
"Good, then. It's getting late. Catherine, please have the staff serve dinner." Randolph's words offered a veneer of reassurance but couldn't mask the sharp, dissatisfied glance he directed at Gabriella.
Soon after, Egbert and Perseus came back into the room. Both wore grim expressions, especially Perseus, who forced a smile and gave Gabriella a cold glance.
He had barely controlled his fury after escorting Camilla downstairs and hearing about the incident.
He was furious. If it weren't for Camilla holding him back and considering Randolph's difficult position in mediating family relations, he might have disowned these relatives on the spot.
