Chapter 4

❤️❤️❤️ The Witch (Mari) ❤️❤️❤️ "What do you want, Leon?" Cretin demanded. "I have two questions that I urgently need an answer to." King Leon responded. "First is, what kind of powers does Issac have and can I defeat him?" He asked. Cretin was quiet for a minute before he spoke. "Issac has an alliance with one of my kin who is powerful. You cannot defeat him neither can he." Cretin answered him. "My second question is, the late Millennium Wolf King has a child who he hid somewhere before his death, where is that child and what gender is that child?" He asked his second question. Cretin tilted his head upwards as if he was searching for an answer. "River is a child blessed by the gods, you said the late King Reid had hidden his child, where else could he have hidden River if not at the presence of the gods who are like me." Cretin replied, "And to your other question, the gender of his child is hidden and could not be revealed to me, either the gods are blocking River gender, which is highly impossible because they will all be busy with their affairs or, someone in supernatural is blocking River's gender." He added. "I need to defeat and kill Issac first before I will begin to search for River. Since you said Issac got his powers from one of your kin, surely you know what powers to use against him." King Leon said. "He is my first threat and River my second threat." "Weren't you paying attention when I said Issac made an alliance with one of my kin? He offered something which my kin couldn't resist." Cretin told King Leon. "Which means he killed his brother for the throne." King Leon said aloud in thoughts. "No, Issac didn't kill the Millennium Wolf King, someone else did." Cretin said. "Whoever it is, I can't see the face clearly." The creature added. "It seems who had poisoned King Reid is really powerful." King Leon said. "Maybe or maybe not, but know this Leon, a day is coming when you and Issac will have to merge to fight against River." Cretin told him. "Never." King Leon rebuked immediately, not liking the idea of him and Issac fighting alongside to defeat River. "Not just the two of you but more will join forces to defeat River." Cretin spoke again. "I hope I'd succeed in killing River and Issac and take over the throne, right?" King Leon finally asked. "The future isn't that clear to me Leon." Cretin answered. "I need more powers." King Leon said after a while of thinking. "Powers that can beat Issac own." He added. "That will be no problem Leon and you know what I need in return, right?" "Blood and more blood." King Leon answered. "I will sacrifice some of my vampire slaves to you." Cretin nodded his head and started sinking lower into the water, "I will be expecting my gifts Leon, take care of yourself beauty." Cretin said. "You too Cretin, I will summon you again when next I am in need of your help." Beauty said as the water covers Cretin completely. "Let's go back home father." Beauty said, grab hold of her father's hand and they disappeared. ****** Jeffrey quickly told Issac everything about how the late King runs the whole supernatural. "Thanks for informing me Jeffrey." Issac said, standing up to his feet. "So tell me who was the midwife that helped the late Queen Elena during her child birth?" He asked. "Mari sire." Jeffrey answered immediately. "Okay, let me pay a visit to Mari, I will be back shortly." Issac said and continued. "Don't forget to get one of the empty Chambers ready before I return since I will be living in the palace." He added and was out of sight. Jeffrey heaved out a sigh of relief and was out of the secret chamber to inform the servants and guards of their new visitor. **** "Aunty, won't you eat your food, the soup broth will get cold." Ariel, a beautiful 20 year old with sun blonde long hair that was in a ponytail, told her Aunt who was reading a magic book in the air. Ariel had gone to wash their dirty clothes and had served her aunt the leftover soup broth she made the previous night. She was just through with washing the dirty clothes and realized her aunt hasn't touched her food yet which she kept on her study table. "Then I will use my magic to warm the soup, Ariel, don't worry about it." Mari said with a shrugged shoulder. "I am looking for a spell in this book." She added. Mari, who was sitting in the air in an Indian style, her legs crossed, quickly made her feet touch the floor- leaving the book she was reading dangling in the air- when she saw Ariel eating the food kept for her and collected the bowl of soup broth from Ariel. "Did I ask you to eat my food?" She asked and started eating it. Her dark hair and eyes never leaving Ariel face. She was beautiful and young but not as beautiful as Ariel. "I thought you were reading and not interested in the food." Ariel answered with a smile. She only did that to get her aunt attention which worked perfectly. "Anyways, what kind of spell are you looking for?" "A spell." Mari answered and finished eating her soup broth, gave the empty plate to Ariel and then levitated herself to where her book is and started reading. Ariel was about to go to the kitchen with the empty plate when a knock halted her. "Carry on Ariel, I will check who is knocking." Mari told Ariel who resumed her walk to the kitchen and went to wash the plates. She levitated herself down and went to open the door a little bit saying rudely, "What can I do for you Issac?" Issac smiled. "You never cease to amaze me Mari, how did you even know I was the one?" He asked, still smiling. "You smell like a wrapped rotten wolf, why won't I recognize your smelling scent that irks me?" Mari said sarcastically. "Oh, I had forgotten it coming from your rotten eye." The smile on Issac faded. "I see you still have that old bitterness in you." Isaac fired back. Mari laughed out loudly that Isaac covered his ears immediately, her laughter sounded like angry birds. "I'm used to that statement now Isaac." Mari jeered back. "Won't you invite me inside?" Isaac said trying his luck. "No, I don't invite smelling beings like you." Mari answered. Ariel came out of the kitchen. "Aunty I am through, I will be in the room just in case you need me to do something for you." Ariel yelled out those words and left for the room she shared with Mari. "Who is that?" Isaac asked, trying to peep inside the house but having great difficulties since Mari didn't open the door wide. "My niece." "Your niece?" Isaac repeated after her in surprise. "No, my nephew. It seems the fight you had with your brother last did not only make you a one eyed man but it also affected your ears." Mari said with a mordacious tone.
