"Please, Ethan," Arya pleaded. "I'm sorry I ran away. Can you please let me go?"
Let her go? I was already angry about her pregnancy and as much as I liked it when she got feisty, she was beginning to get on my nerves.
The audacity of her request was infuriating. She thought she could just ask for forgiveness and expect me to let her go?
"Let you go?" I scoffed. "You're getting better at your jokes, Arya. You are not going anywhere."
She had no right to run away from me. The fact that she was carrying Tyler's child was like a slap on my face, a bitter reminder that my brother had bested me.
As much as I tried to keep my emotions in check, the rage simmered just beneath the surface, threatening to boil over at any moment. I couldn't let her carry another man's child, especially not my brother's.
"What do you plan on doing to me?" Arya's eyes narrowed in defiance. "I'm pregnant with Tyler's child, and we both know there's nothing you can do about it."
