I Love You, Amara.
Jake learnt two core things about Amara during their short drive of less than an hour.
Firstly, unlike the other elites he had worked for, Amara was more flexible, more genuine and caring towards her assistant, Duncan, which wasn’t something one saw everyday.
But he knew, even if she had this side, this front she had put up for most to see, there was a part of her, hidden under a veil, a part, or maybe all of her, that was as dark as the night.
The second thing, was the fact that although Amara looked like a person who couldn’t be disturbed, she was greatly disturbed by the name of one person.
“Mr. Larsen’s assistant called,” Duncan had began, and in a split second, through the rare view mirror, Jake could see the way Amara’s expression folded up.
She didn’t like that name; Jake noted, wondering if the Larsen Duncan spoke of was the Tobias Larsen.
“He wanted to remind of the four o’clock meeting.”
“That isn’t his job,” Came Amara’s response. For a second, she tried to look not to look
