By the close of that work day, Amara although mind already made up, had decided that she wasn’t going to the party.
Her reason were several, the first and most excusable, being that quality time with her family far beat the fame she was going to gain by going to a party she knew no one at. And the second one, well, it was obvious, she didn’t want to see Tobias, talk less be near him a whole night.
As she stepped out of the elevator that evening, her phone rang, and a smile brightened up her face at the sight of Bethany’s name.
She answered the call without so much as a hint of hesitation. “Beth, hi. How are you?”
“Same as usual,” Came Bethany’s answer, but Amara could hear that she sounded a bit stressed.
