His Declaration!
Amara thought long and hard about Christina’s words and motive after breakfast.
At one point, she thought about indirectly declining, giving an excuse that Elijah had something to do, or something down that line, but then, she realized that would make her look like a coward in Christina’s eyes and whatever that woman was planning, she didn’t want to look like a loser in her eyes.
And that’s why Amara found herself dialing Elijah’s number.
The line rang only for a few seconds before the call went through and his voice was heard from the other end.
“Hey Mara,” He greeted. “To what do I owe the pleasure of this call?”
“Do you have anything planned for tomorrow?” Amara questioned, not wanting to waste time with chitchat.
Elijah paused for a brief moment before answering. “Nothing much, I’m supposed to meet with a few unimportant people here and there, but I can put that off, why?”
