Be thankful, Amara almost snorted at his audacity as she walked out of Vas Grandeur.
Who was he to ask her to be grateful after everything he had done. Even the apology he claimed to be offering, couldn’t begin to compare to the pain he had put her through.
Pain in which she was trying to move on from. So if he indeed wanted to apologize, then he might just as well taken the backdoor out of her life.
Sighing, she reached into her pause and tried calling Duncan the moment she noticed the car wasn’t packed where it was meant to be.
The call was answered after three rings.
“Ms. Crawford?”
“Where’s the car, Duncan? I’m done here.”
“I was asked to pack somewhere else due to traffic regulations, but I’m coming over right now.”
Amara nodded and ended the call. On queue, a call from Elijah entered. She chuckled lightly, wondering why he was calling this time around.
But nonetheless, his call was a good distraction from her encounter with Tobias.
Picking up the call, she pressed the phone close
