Chapter 6

Adira's giggle pulled Reya's attention to their table , Atharv and Reya's eyes met for a second , she couldn't look away .but Atharv turned his eyes on Adira, but his focus was on Reya from his peripheral gaze . Ishaan's calling made Reya look at him , "the new girl is pretty "Reya said talking about Adira . She had jet black hair with baby blue eyes . Her skin milky white and flawless. "When have you ever think that someone is ugly ?"Zoya said with a teasing sigh . Even though , she agreed that Adira was gorgeous . "What do you say ?"Reya said looking expectantly at the boys . "What can I say , I have eyes only for my girl "Ishaan said kissing zoya's hand ,who slapped his shoulder laughing . Adira and Atharv were also listening to their conversation . Adira was actually having fun . Reya shook her head and looked at Ansh .he shrugged "she is pretty , but you are the prettiest to me "Atharv felt himself tensing , his hands curled into a fist . Ishaan slapped the back of ansh's head and said "stop hitting on her " Ansh said pouting and rubbing his head "she doesn't even give me a chance". Reya was blushing hard by then . Reya got up saying that its time for the class. Atharv was trying not to think about her .he opened his fists trying to relax himself. That night, again Reya wasn't able to sleep properly. She woke up again and again throughout the night , feeling restless , irritated , need of something . Adira was telling Meera about her day . She had actually enjoyed going to the college . "You know what mom ? Two girls were actually very nice . I think you will also enjoy meeting them . One of them actually said that I was pretty and asked for her friends opinion "Adira said the last part smiling . "They are forgetting that beauty always come with danger , doesn't matter of which type "Atharv said leaving the room . Being what they were didn't affect Adira ,she tried to be as normal as she could. Next day , Reya and Zoya left for the college , not feeling very excited .Ishaan wasn't going to come today , because Big b had given him some work . Adira told Atharv that she was going to talk to them today . "Leave me out of it . Do it when I am not with you "Atharv said and Adira agreed . Reya and Zoya were in the restroom , it was around 10 am , Reya was feeling sleepy , she was washing her face when Adira entered the washroom . Zoya was inside the restroom , Adira asked Reya "hey are you ok ?"seeing her splashing water on her face again and again . "Yeah " Reya said embarrassed . A cute blush covering her cheeks . Sasha also came inside and was surprised to see Reya alone . She decided to pick up on her "so, the witch isn't with you today "Sasha said touching Reya's hair completely ignoring Adira . "Don't touch"reya said moving away . "Why ? "Sasha said again touching her hair . "Hey! What's your problem ? Leave her alone "Adira said pushing her away . "You definitely don't want to mess with me "Adira said getting in Sasha's face . She didn't like Sasha misbehaving with Reya . She was feeling very protective for that younger cute girl . Sasha left the restroom , Zoya had seen the whole scene .she thanked Adira for her help " I am already liking you, you seem like my type of person "Zoya said with a wink and she smiled . At night , Reya and Zoya were getting bored .they decided to go out for ice cream . "Which side ?"Zoya asked . "North " Reya said without missing a beat . " you and your weirdness ."Zoya said shaking her head . When they were going through the woods , Zoya said "we shouldn't have come out here this late at night . There are animals in this forest also .by the way , why do you like this place anyway " " I don't know " Reya said focusing on the trees . She felt like she saw a pair of glowing eyes , but then it was gone . They went home after sometime , the night was same for Reya . She was getting more and more frustrated day by day . It was Aisha and Darsh's wedding anniversary .a big deal for all of them , it was celebrated on a great level every year . This year was same , all friends , business rivals and family were going to be invited .the preparations were in full swing . Rathore family was sitting in the living room , a card in meera's hand "an invitation from Singhania family .....we should go " "Yes we should , it would be a good place to officially introduce our self "Raghav said nodding his head . " you can go , I cant handle it "Atharv said standing up . "You are going , if you don't want attention , than act normal .you being all mysterious isn't going to help "Raghav said and Atharv left . Aisha and Atharv were high school sweethearts .for this year , Zoya and Reya took their all old pics and made an album with cute messages written beside the picture . The party started , Aisha was looking very graceful in rose gold saree .Reya and Zoya were wearing gowns . The house was decorated very beautifully with white and blue flowers . Ishaan gave the couple hug and said "happy anniversary from me and big b .he apologized for not being able to attend " "Its ok , we understand "Darsh said with a smile . Everyone around was curious to know , if the Rathore family would come .when they entered , everyone's eyes were on them .they all were very beautiful , examples of perfection. Aisha and Darsh welcomed them. Atharv was trying to be civil .they were talking , when Reya came and said "mom, Mrs. Sharma was asking for you "she was talking about the manager . "Oh , please excuse me ! "Aisha said moving away . Darsh pulled Reya at his side "that's my daughter Reya "Reya smiled , Atharv wasn't able to look away from her .she was looking stunning in the gown . Reya met his eyes for a second then looked away .she wasn't able to hold his eyes . Adira moved forward and hugged Reya ."where is Zoya ? "She asked Reya said with a smile "they are the bar , come with me" Adira agreed and they went towards Ishaan and Zoya .Adira 's sassy plus sweet nature made it easier for them to be friends . "By the way , you don't look like sisters "Adira after sometime . "We are actually not .I am Reya 's uncle (Darsh's brother 's) daughter . My real parents live in Dubai and I am here since I was 5 years old .I was attached to Aisha mom , so they left me here before shifting .we go to meet them in vacations "Zoya explained . "Oh "Adira said. The party went nicely, everyone was leaving , Atharv went outside to get the car , Reya was also coming out looking for something , she lost her footing from porch , it was a high, she could have hurt herself .Atharv saw it happening . Before he could even judge his actions , he was moving .Reya was going to land face down , her eyes were closed . But then she felt an arm wrapped around her waist, she looked up and saw that , it was Atharv . He quickly moved back , Reya stammered a thank you , he just nodded and left . After sitting in the car, he cursed "what the fuck was I thinking ?I shouldn't have saved her , especially risking my family's identity . It was just a few stairs , she wont have died" he gritted the last words out , not liking his own words . He acted normal in front of his family , he didn't want to tell them about his stupid move .it would have just worried them . The night was same for Reya, restless and frustrating . But something had changed for Atharv , he was reliving the feel of her waist in his arm , her soft sigh of relief , her huge brown eyes ,her plum lips open slightly . Next day , soya and Reya went to the college feeling excited . Another football match was scheduled today. They were talking about it when Adira reached them in the parking lot . Atharv was standing against his Audi . He couldn't leave Adira alone .He didn't express his feelings much , but he loved his family , cared about them. They enjoy the match , Atharv didn't join them . He sat in his car listening to music , it was his way of relaxing himself .Reya had gone to the parking lot , to get her scarf , it was getting colder in their city .she was busy on her phone , standing in the middle of the way . A bike was coming towards her, she was near the corner , the biker wont have enough time to stop the bike to save her . Atharv growled to himself , he was again in a place, where he could decide whether to let her be hurt or save her ."it wont be my fault if she gets hurt , it would be her own carelessness "Atharv said to himself.
