Jonathan raised a hand and gently ruffled Michelle's hair before returning to his practice problems.
Michelle obediently picked up her pen, ready to start her homework. However, as her gaze flitted past Frederick, a glint of malice flickered in her eyes, and her lips curved into a cold, sinister smile.
When the evening study session ended, Stella approached Jonathan, her brows tightly furrowed, clutching the butler's investigation report.
"Jonathan, I know you didn't send anyone to beat up Frederick," she said firmly.
"And?" Jonathan replied without even glancing up.
The moment Stella spoke, Frederick and the rest of their classmates froze in shock.
"Frederick misunderstood you," Stella continued with a frown. "He didn't mean to falsely accuse you. I hope you won't hold a grudge against him. After all, he was beaten so badly he couldn't think straight about the situation."
"A grudge?" Jonathan let out a low, mocking laugh. "Who exactly was holding a grudge against whom?"
