Chapter 51
Winona felt a chill spread through her entire body. "If we never bought him anything, then what about money? Jonathan didn't have his meals with us. Did he rely solely on his middle school scholarship for food and clothing?
"That scholarship couldn't have lasted this long! He's left home now and hasn't asked us for a single penny. His grades in high school weren't good enough to earn scholarships either!"
Eleanor was stunned. Her eldest daughter's questions caught her completely off guard. She had never seriously considered this issue before.
To get answers, Eleanor called the family's financial manager. The response shocked her—the Campbells had never instructed the finance team to give Jonathan a monthly allowance.
Frederick, however, received over 50,000 dollars in pocket money every month.
Eleanor's eyes welled up with tears. Covering her face, she began sobbing uncontrollably. "No wonder Jonathan cut ties with us..." Her voice broke, and she could no longer continue talking.
