"That's not really appropriate," Lily said instinctively.
Maryanne didn't mind at all. "What's so—"
Before she could finish, Terence interrupted. "It really isn't. Let's give Lily some space and head out."
The courthouse was in the suburbs, serviced by a single bus line.
Lily waited nearly ten minutes for the next one.
