Chapter 37
A dull ache spread in Lily's forehead, and warm blood streamed down her face. She only saw red when she opened her eyes. Black smoke billowed from the front of her car, and she couldn't help but think about online videos of cars exploding after an accident.
Was she going to die there today? But how could she die when Hayden still wasn't free? With Xavier's temper in mind, Lily wasn't confident whether Xavier would continue the lawsuit in Hayden's defense if she were dead.
That was her only motivation to survive. So, she unfastened her seatbelt, opened the door, and crawled out of the car.
