Lily's eyes were complicated, and an unintentional look of longing and reluctance appeared.
"Lily." The man's voice came from above her head.

He crushed the cigarette, rolled up his sleeves, and descended the stairs slowly. His footsteps echoed loudly in the hallway, each one pounding against Lily's chest.
