Once Heston regained clarity, he teleported Cassidy to a safe corner and reappeared before the man with black smoke in a flash. The smoke-shrouded man was busy evading Shannon's amulet and was caught off guard. By the time he snapped back to his senses, he turned to see Heston's claw-like hand closing in on his arm. "Ah!" A blood-curdling scream erupted as Heston tore the man's arm holding the black bone bell clean off. He chanted something under his breath, and the severed limb dissolved into black smoke lunging at Heston. But Heston showed no fear. He reached into the black smoke with brute force and pulled out the black bone bell that'd briefly incapacitated him. That black bone bell was what had frozen him to the spot. With a violent yank, the bell flew out of his grasp and clattered to the ground. Shannon took the chance to recall her amulet and send the thunder talisman whizzing toward the man. "I wield the decree, to sever the thunder's might, boom, with power and light!"
