Chapter 29
Victoria's heart sank.
Seeing fear return to her eyes, some of the coldness in Leon's gaze finally faded.
Her hands and feet felt numb with cold as her eyes darted around the room. She was desperately searching for anything she could use to defend herself.
But there was nothing—nothing she could use as a weapon, no way to escape.
A few moments later, footsteps echoed outside the suite.
The door opened from the outside, and Aaron stepped back in.
"There she is," Leon said. His tone was merciless as he glanced at Victoria's pale face. "You don't need to go easy on her just because of me. Just don't kill her."
Aaron was speechless.
He was really putting him in a difficult position.
"You don't care?" Aaron played along, though he wasn't sure how far this game was supposed to go.
Leon looked at Victoria with complete indifference. His words were merciless and unforgiving. "She's just a rebellious little cat that likes to bite. Nothing worth caring about."
Aaron let out a low chuc
