On the way back, Aaron occasionally glanced at the man driving beside him and voiced the question in his mind, "Why did you suddenly decide to let Susie come back? You never liked her badmouthing you in front of Victoria."
"She's Victoria's friend. I've already restricted her from offering financial support. I can't take away her emotional support as well," Leon replied directly.
Aaron paused briefly, then let out a small laugh.
Forty minutes later, they arrived at Aaron's home. He got out of the car and shut the door in one smooth motion.
Just as Leon was about to drive away to Waterside Manor, Aaron called out his name, "Leon."
Leon paused with his foot still on the accelerator and turned to look at him.
Before Leon could ask anything, Aaron said first, "Stop living in the past. Don't carry such a heavy burden with you as you move forward. If he were still here, he wouldn't want you to live like this."
