While Sabrina and Marcus chatted, Curtis's medical tests neared completion.
A few reports were delayed until the next day, and although Curtis had the influence to hasten the process, he refrained from doing so. He wanted to keep a low profile in Sabrina's presence and keep his identity concealed. Given the minor nature of his injuries, Curtis saw no harm in waiting a bit longer.
"Looks like we'll get some reports only by tomorrow. When I'm back to work tomorrow, I'll have someone come by to collect them. For now, Curtis, take a couple of days off to rest at home," Victor suggested.
Victor's decision was practical, considering Curtis was in no state to work efficiently. Besides, any attempt by Curtis to push through would likely end with Victor handling the extra workload.
