Chapter 100 Going Home for Dinner
At the mention of Sabrina and their talk, Victor's eyes sparkled, making Curtis somewhat uncomfortable.
'What's with that expression?' Curtis pondered to himself.
It was disconcerting to see his good friend looking like that at the mention of his wife. Despite Curtis and Sabrina having a contractual marriage, having someone eye his partner made Curtis uneasy.
Victor was taken aback, somewhat surprised by Curtis' reaction.
He blinked a few times before responding, "What's with your sudden concern? When I mentioned Sabrina before, you didn't say anything. But now, you seem quite concerned. What's going on with you?"
Victor gave Curtis an odd look. Curtis' swift change in attitude was a bit overwhelming, and Victor knew better than to provoke the boundaries of friendship by showing too much interest in a friend's spouse.
He sat across from Curtis, eyeing him mysteriously. He accidentally kicked the table, causing Curtis' table to shake, and the pen nearly scratched the paper.
