Chapter 3 2
Amelia's POV
The elevator opened and I walked in placing the copies on his desk thanking God mentally that it was Friday. He looked up at me before eyeing the copies he grabbed the first paper placing it in front of him. No thank you, I guess manners doesn't actually carry you through the world I walked back to my office grabbing my purse and phone, walking back into his office before I could speak he said.
"Where are you going?"
"For lunch," I replied and he looked up from his work.
"There is food in the fridge," he told me pointing to the break room.
"I'm fine, I promised Hunt-"
"I wasn't asking, your name is on your box" he said in a no argument tone before going back to his work. This big jackass, I walked into the break room grabbing the box of food placing it in the microwave heating it up before taking it out. I grabbed something to drink walking back to my office.
"You're welcome," he said and I stopped turning to him, to see him still buried in his work.
"Thank you," I said slightly irritated going into my office. I finished eating putting the garbage in the bin. After my first taste of the food I couldn't even be mad at Mr OCD, I would marry the chef just so I could get endless supply of food, my door opened and I looked up already knowing it was him.
"From now on you refer to me by my first name and I will do the same," Mr Persons said his eyes focused on me.
"Wh-" before I can finish my sentence he was outside. This jackass. I turned on the laptop continuing my work. I spent the day buried in paperwork, going to meetings and putting up with my boss and his sour attitude. I was so happy it was finally six, I grabbed my purse hoping I would get a cab quicker than yesterday. I made a mental reminder to call my mechanic about my car as I walked out of my office.
"Give me a second" Mr Persons said still on his laptop.
"Huh?"
"I'm dropping you home," he said standing up.
"I'm really starting to think you have issues," I mumbled as he grabbed his jacket placing it on his arm.
"I'm fine, I don't mind catching a cab," I said calling the elevator, he chuckled the sound traveling through me I couldn't help but smile.
"I wasn't asking you, Amelia," he said his eyes locking with mine, a foreign feeling arises in me as he walks over to me. His hand moves around my waist and he pulls me closer to him, my body tenses slightly but relaxes as his thumb begins making small circles on my back. We step into the elevator his head buried in his phone. Not long after we are in the car his driver closing my door.
"Tell me about yourself Amelia," he says turning off his phone giving me his full attention, I look at him confused.
"Why?" I asked and he chuckles his eyes locking with mine forcing me to disobey.
"Your so hormonal," I mumbled under my breath.
"Hormonal?" He asked amused and I'm shocked slightly not really expecting him to hear me.
"I didn't mean it in a disrespectful way, I me-"
"Amelia it's okay, tell me about your self," He said watching me almost as if he was trying to look through me.
"What do you want to know?"
"What's your favorite colour?"
"Red,"
"Food?"
"Whatever it is you bought me for lunch" I replied remembering how good it was and he smiled leaning back.

"It's you" She announced softly
"So I did do something?" I asked thinking back, trying to figure out what exactly.
"You're doing everything right" She confessed leaving realization to stand in my mind.
"And that scares you?" I asked but it sounded more like a statement, nonetheless, she still gave me a small nod to confirm my words.
"What's your fear when it comes to us?" I asked softly.
"That you'll hurt me, lie, cheat, change" She replied her voice small and I could tell each word she said held a memory.
"I won't, and I know that's hard for you to believe because of past experiences but I'll prove it, we can move at whatever pace you want to,"
