Michael stared straight ahead as the car sped through the streets, the silence in the vehicle almost deafening. His mind replayed the heated conversation with Madison over and over again, his jaw clenching as he fought to control his own rising frustration. He knew he had to stay focused—He had to get rid of Hunter—but he couldn't shake the guilt he felt for his terse treatment of Madison.
Asad, sensing his boss's turmoil, cleared his throat to break the silence. "She loves you, Mr Michael," he said, his voice measured and sympathetic.
Michael's gaze remained fixed on the road ahead, his voice low and heavy. "I know," he said, the words almost too painful to speak. "I love her too. But right now, I need to find Hunter and eliminate him."
Asad nodded, a sense of understanding passing between the two men. "We'll find him, boss," he said, his voice resolute. "We'll put an end to this, one way or another."
