"We're almost there," he whispered, his voice low and serious as he gazed into her eyes, his own fears and doubts written across his face as he faced the journey ahead.
And as the train slowed to a halt, the doors sliding open with a hiss, Madison and Michael stepped out onto the platform, their bodies tense and alert as they searched the darkness for any sign of danger.
And as Madison turned to point at the old woman, her body tensing with shock and confusion, she found the seat where the elderly woman had sat empty and deserted, the shadows of the train station concealing any sign of her presence as Madison scanned the platform for any sign of the mysterious prophetess.
