17 The ride

Karen waited for Jenny to finish up her job for the day before leaving. She was still crying when Jenny entered the room. She didn't want to stress Jenny any further so she quickly dried her tears. “Jenny are you through? Can we go now?”. Karen asked, standing up from bed. Jenny glanced at Karen to make sure that she was alright and wasn't crying before replying. “Yeah, I'm done. Have you packed your bag?”. Karen looked around and realized that she hadn't packed yet. She had been crying throughout the afternoon. “Not, yet. I forgot but I’ll pack up immediately” Karen said walking to the wardrobe”. Jenny rushed and held Karen and grinned, saying “I totally, understand. Just relax, I'll do the packing myself”. Jenny knew that karen was not in the right frame of mind to remember packing.
