Chapter 39 We're Meant to Cross Paths
"Come to my study for a bit."
I followed Lucas upstairs. As soon as the door opened, I was greeted with a strong scent of pinewood inside the study. The bookcases were packed with books.
"Can I look around?" I couldn't help but ask.
"Suit yourself."
I was surprised to learn that the books on Lucas' bookcases were actually rather similar to my past preferences. I had enjoyed many of these books in the past and read them before.
"You also have the collector's edition of this book?" I picked up a book called "The Unwritten Manifesto".
"I like this book as well." I used to enjoy reading but no longer had the passion for it after marriage.
"You can take it if you like."
"Really?" I was pleasantly surprised. I had always liked this book, and it was extremely difficult to buy a copy of the collector's edition now.
Lucas hummed in response with a nod. He sat before his computer, typing while asking, "What are your terms for divorce?"
I held the book as the scene at the kindergarten
