Sabrina sighed deeply. "You stopped being my child when you first asked your father to take you to Holly, Ansel. I already told you that you need to realize where you went wrong and correct it. Focus on growing up and stop thinking about me."
Ansel wiped his tears and reached for her. "I know I made a mistake, Mom. Can you hold me one last time?"
She looked at him but didn't reach for him. "It's too little, too late, Ansel."
His eyes turned red when he heard that. Still, he wanted to give it a last shot. "Please, Mom. Hold me—"
"Mom." Sebastian had approached Sabrina with Isabel in his arms. Isabel said, "He looks really pitiful, Mom. Why don't you hold him?"
Sabrina caressed her head with a smile. "Would you forgive everyone who did you wrong as long as they came to you and cried a little bit?"
Isabel thought about it. Then, she shook her head. "No."
"There we go." Sabrina turned to Jordan and Ansel. "This should be our last time seeing each other."
