Chapter 11
After Evan was done reporting, Brandon seemed calm, but he gripped the wine glass a little too hard.
Evan, who was drenched in cold sweat, stammered, "Mr. Brandon… perhaps Ms. Rowland was just acting out of spite."
"Out of spite?" Brandon's lips curved into a faint, mocking smile.
Evan lowered his head. His breaths were barely audible.
In the next second, Brandon kicked over the coffee table in front of him.
The glass shattered, leaving a mess on the floor.
Everyone else in the room looked over in shock. Pin-drop silence filled the room.
Brandon let out a cold chuckle. "Reegan's bold enough to pull this kind of joke on me, huh? Fine. Let's see how long she can keep this up."
His icy gaze turned to Evan. "Where's the stuff?"
Evan's head sank lower. "Ms. McKay saw the box that day. She took it and threw it out. I didn't stop her since the box wouldn't matter because you two were about to get engaged."
Brandon glanced at him in a frosty manner. "Wow, Evan, well done."
